BRISBANE’S tallest penthouse has hit the market, soaring a dizzying 274 sqm into the air.
The three-level residence in the Brisbane Skytower building at 222 Margaret Street spans a whopping 704 sqm and is owned by property tycoon Alex Sekler.
Records show Sekler paid $10.26m for the apartment in August 2020.
It has been listed for sale with Michael Bacon of Place Estate Agents without a price guide.
Mr Bacon said the penthouse was not fully completed, which gave potential buyers the chance to make it their own by adding personal touches to the fitouts.
Spanning levels 88, 89 and 90, there are four bedrooms on level 88 with the main living areas and a separate study.
Level 90 and 89 are the domain of the master bedroom and private retreat that look out over the world thanks to walls of curved glass.
Features include a private lift, spectacular views, a study, two powder rooms, and parking for four cars.
Homes in the top 11 levels of Skytower also have exclusive access to the building’s amentities, including what’s claimed to be the world’s highest infinity-edge swimming pool, a gym, and a business lounge.
Sekler also owns ‘Malumba Estate’ at 24 Box Street, in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast, which he bought for $17.1m in September 2021.
In March this year, he expanded his holdings in the hinterland suburb, buying an eight-bedroom home on 7.3ha at Cogill Rd, Buderim, for $9m.
He also owns land at 22 and 9 Box St, along with a number of property investments in Cairns.
