Newly released bodycam footage shows the dramatic moments after two fathers shot each other’s young daughters on the side of a Florida highway in a road-rage gunfight over the weekend.

The footage captures police officers arriving on scene after strangers William Hale, 35, and Frank Allison, 43, shot at each other’s vehicles with semi-automatic handguns during a high-speed “cat and mouse” chase late Saturday, police said.

During the shootout, Hale’s 5-year-old daughter was struck in the leg and Allison’s 14-year-old daughter was shot in the back, leaving her with a collapsed lung, Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper said Monday.

The bodycam footage, obtained by WJXT, shows Allison and Hale in the wake of the shooting as responders tend to their daughters’ wounds.

The clip, much of which is muted or bleeped out, shows Hale, shirtless, yelling and waving as police arrive on scene and separate the fathers before an officer checks on Allison’s daughter.

William Joseph Hale, 35, was read his Miranda rights before he was arrested, bodycam footage shows.

“Look at me you’re OK,” a woman says to the girl.

“Ow it hurts!” the teenager can be heard wailing in the clip.

“Do I have to ride in an ambulance?” the girl asks the officer through cries at one point, as Allison kneels beside her.

“Just talk to me,” an officer tells her after she moans loudly in pain.

Later, the officer walks over to Hale, who is read his Miranda rights before he’s escorted away by an officer.

In a separate cellphone video obtained by the outlet taken shortly after the shooting, a person can be seen lying on the ground as several people stand beside multiple vehicles on the side of the road, including the black Dodge Ram pickup truck and the gray Nissan Murano involved in the incident.

Police received multiple reports of people being shot on Highway 1 near Callahan in suburban Jacksonville, Leeper told reporters.

Hale was also charged with attempted murder after shooting Allison’s 14-year-old daughter in the gunfight.

Hale, from Georgia, and local man Allison were “driving erratically” and brake-checking each other, Leeper said.

At one point, Hale pulled his Dodge alongside the Nissan to start shouting when Allison’s wife flipped him the bird. In response, a water bottle was flung back at her.

Allison then drew his handgun and fired a shot at Hale’s truck, striking Hale’s 5-year-old daughter in the right leg. Allison claimed he fired the shot “to get out of the situation,” the sheriff said.

Hale told police he thought nothing of the “loud pop” until he heard a commotion from the backseat.

Hale then sped up and fired “everything that was in the magazine — seven or eight rounds,” at Allison’s car, the sheriff said. One of the bullets went through the back of the car and struck Allison’s daughter.

Another pickup truck involved in the road rage at one point but was not involved in the shooting, Leeper said.

Both men’s wives called 911 during the wild battle and agreed to pull over to meet a deputy, court docs show.

Both men were arrested and charged with second-degree attempted murder, the sheriff said. They were each released hours later on $150,000 bond, court records show.
