Taylor Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is out today, and the deluxe edition of the album concludes with a special bonus track: a re-recorded version of the “Bad Blood” remix, featuring Kendrick Lamar. “Watching [Kendrick Lamar] create and record his verses on the Bad Blood remix was one of the most inspiring experiences of my life,” Swift wrote on social media. “I still look back on this collaboration with so much pride and gratitude, for the ways Kendrick elevated the song and the way he treats everyone around him.” Listen to “Bad Blood (Taylor’s Version)” and read Swift’s full statement below.
Swift and Lamar shared the “Bad Blood” remix in May 2015, just about seven months after the release of 1989. The song’s star-studded music video featured Swift, Lamar, Lena Dunham, Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Ellie Goulding, Zendaya, Cara Delevingne, Jessica Alba, Karlie Kloss, Cindy Crawford, Hayley Williams, Hailee Steinfeld, and others.
