Tokyo Game Show 2022 is right around the corner and fans of Street Fighter 6 are undoubtedly excited. Capcom will be showcasing two online presentations this week at the event that will feature the latest news on their current and upcoming projects — including SF6.

As a lead up to the event, Street Fighter 6 director Takayuki Nakayama has been sharing various artwork of the game over on Twitter. Today, Nakayama released a look at a batch of adorable sprite versions of the title’s seven currently revealed characters.

Accompanying the image of the sprites is a simple message from Nakayama that Google Translates to “It’s coming soon. #SF6 #TGS2022”.

The artwork, which was seemingly made by Nakayama himself, features Ryu, Chun-Li, Jamie, and Luke as chibi-like sprites. It also includes sprites for the most recently revealed and least seen fighters Guile, Kimberly, and Juri.

Tokyo Game Show 2022 will mark the first time the latter three combatants will be playable publicly. A new build of the game will be available on the show floor, which means we’ll finally be seeing a lot more gameplay of all three here very soon.

This event won’t just have new attendee gameplay to see, though, as Capcom has confirmed that a new Street Fighter 6 trailer will also be shown during their online broadcasts. There’s a good chance we’ll see at least one new character unveiled, and Capcom has gone on record saying that fans will learn more about the new single player mode, World Tour, as well as the Battle Hub.

The action begins on Thursday, September 15 at 7 a.m. PT when Capcom will air their “Capcom Online Program” for TGS2022. The following day, September 16, the company will run their Street Fighter 6 Special Program live stream starting at 8 a.m. PT.
